Joshua is now a little over 21 months old. Can you believe it? When I began this blog, I believe he was just about two months old. He is very different than his big brother.Let's see, how can I describe Joshy? When I think of Joshua, the first word that comes to me is...daredevil.
He has absolutely no fear! The other day, he climbed up on his little chair, started doing some crazy movements, throwing himself off, landing on the floor, again laughing the whole way and then doing it again. I actually felt my heart skip a beat when he did that for the first time. Now, it's no big deal for us, but it is kind of funny to watch the reactions of others when he does it in front of them. And energy?!?!?!? He has more energy than anyone I have ever met. At 10pm when he should be asleep, he is like Hulk Hogan (or one of them,) body slamming Shawn and I, laughing the whole way.
But the one thing, that both Joshua and Tyler have in common, is their sweetness. Joshua can snuggle like the best of them. When he sits with me, he always keeps his hands on my face, and his new phrase, which is my favorite, is I yuv u.
Lately, hotwheels, Elmo and Happy Feet (pronounced Emmo and Hop Pee Fee) are things that Joshua likes the most. Happy Feet truly takes the cake though. Literally, he has been asking to watch the movie at least four times a day (of course we don't let him.) The amazing thing is, when we allow him to watch it, he will sit through the whole move. It is so funny! He loves that little penguin.
Yesterday, when Shawn and I went to Wally World, they had a stuffed Mumbo (the penguin of in the movie.) When you press its foot, it actually does the tap dancing noise, and when it does, Joshua begins dancing. He loves that thing. It is the first thing that he has actually received that made his eyes truly light up. In fact, today he brought it to school with him.
I love this age. I really believe it's my favorite. It's the age of discovery and it is a time that we, as adults, can truly look at things through innocent eyes.

I woke up sick this morning so I was being lazy and looking at blogs. I happened to click on yours and I saw how your Joshy loves Happy Feet. I recorded it a few months ago but my older boys didn't care much for it. I still had it recorded so I turned it on for my 17 month old and it totally did the trick. He was entertained and I was able to have some rest! Thanks for the post!!!!
Happy New Year!
You still there?
