I don't know what is exactly wrong with me lately. I used to LOVE to blog. Now, when I get time to do it, I just sit here and ask myself, "duh, what is interesting that I can write about?" Guess what? I don't answer.
Hopefully soon, this writer's block of mine will disappear.
I do need to ask some of you that read for some advice.
Shawn and I are desperate to find a new church. We have only been to church since all of the drama happened at our last one and we are kind of scared. What if we pick the wrong one again? How do we go about finding one? Which denomination do we go to?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We are starting to feel a little lost and the longer we stay out, the harder it seems to get the gumption up to go.

Hey! I'm no expert, but my husband and I changed churches a couple years ago. There were no bad events that took us away from the church I had attended since birth (and hubby had gone since we began dating). We just needed to go somewhere closer to our home and with a great children's program for our future tots. Ours was a very small, country church and we now attend a large, large church. I changed denomination, but not too far off the mark. I was EXTREMELY active in my old church and really wanted a break to just enjoy church! I'm beginning to get active now, but am trying to limit for a while.
I recommend first talking to your friends -- people with whom you have other things in common or people who seem to have the morals/beliefs similar to your own. See if they attend church and ask them about it. I highly recommend just getting out there and visiting. You can learn alot about a church in the way people treat you when you visit!
Try not to feel the pressure. Attending church SHOULD be an enjoyable experience so don't worry about committing too soon. Pastors and church leaders understand when you mention that you're visiting churches to see which one is the best fit for your family.
I don't know if this helps at all, but that's my two-cents!
If you are still interested, I would be happy to have some missionaries from my church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) stop by. I don't know what exactly you are looking for, but I love my family and my life. I know where I am going and why and my church is a big part of it. Anyway, if you want, feel free to email me your contact information and I will have someone get in touch with you. If not, good luck on your search.
