Okay, okay. I have to confess. I did it. Went against my cardinal rule and, well, you probably guessed it...SHOPPED on Black Friday. I do have to say, though, in my own defense, that EVERYBODY was putting all sorts of peer pressure on me....my mom, my sister-in-law, friends...How could I say no? I did get a couple of things, not much, as my irritation level began to grow and grow (as I predicted in my previous blog.) In fact, when some 4 year old grabbed Joshua in the eye (thumb in eye-not just a little passing sweep) not once, but twice and Joshy was bleeding, I had had ENOUGH.
Afterward we went and got our new cellphones as our two-year contract was up and then cut down our family Christmas tree at the Christmas Tree Farm a few miles from our house. It started out being really fun and exciting, but after 2 hours of looking at trees with no end at sight, I think our family was about beat.
We did, though, in the end, cut down a beautiful tree and tomorrow we will begin decorating it. I LOVE this time of year.

The kid made him bleed??!! I think I'd stay away from that mall for good... not just on Black Friday! Have fun decorating!
